After installing the plugin, you can set up your email tracking options using the menu on the top right of your gmail client. If you don't see the Bananatag icon, please refresh your gmail. You may be asked to log in to your account at this stage.

To track any email, simply make sure the track email box is selected before clicking Send or Send Later. You can change the default behavior of the Track Email box in the settings outlined above. Additional options are also available through the toolbar.

Your Gmail is now set up with Bananatag, and your sent emails can be tracked. You will receive an email notification when your emails are opened, as well as notifications when any links in your emails are clicked.

Version 2.0.32 of the Outlook add-in is a stable beta that allows you to build and insert emails with our designer, right inside of Outlook.

Your Outlook is now set up with Bananatag, and your sent emails can be tracked. You will receive an email notification when your emails are opened, as well as notifications when any links in your emails are clicked.

For users on a free plan, your first 5 emails each day will be tracked. If you require more daily tags, you can upgrade your Bananatag plan.

Once you've created your account, log in to Bananatag and select Account and then Settings from the left hand menu, then click Email Relay on the main window:

Note: If you do not have Send Direct set up, you will be prompted to enable it before continuing.

Under the SMTP Relay settings, enter your desired password and select Save New Password. You'll receive a confirmation (as above) with the correct SMTP settings for your account.

For example:
SMTP server: smtp.bananatag.com
Port: 587

Note: The instructions below are for POP/IMAP accounts. Exchange users should add and manually configure a separate account with their email for tracking.

Open your Outlook for Mac Mail Settings by clicking Outlook and then Preferences:

Under Personal Settings, click on Accounts:

In the Outgoing server field, enter the Sever Name provided for your Bananatag account in the first step (SMTP server), and make sure the Port also matches the information provided through your Bananatag account:

Note: You will be asked to provide login credentials once you've closed this window. Enter your User Name (Bananatag user name) and Password (as selected in your Bananatag SMTP settings).

Your Outlook for Mac is now set up with Bananatag, and your sent emails can be tracked. You will receive an email notification when your emails are opened, as well as notifications when any links in your emails are clicked.

For users on a free plan, your first 5 emails each day will be tracked. If you require more daily tags, you can upgrade your Bananatag plan. Alternatively, you can select which emails you’d like to track within your daily limit using by creating and switching between multiple accounts (with and without tracking) in Outlook for Mac's mail preferences.

In your Mail Settings, and select Add account, enter your email and password, and then select Manual setup.

Configure your Incoming server settings as usual, and press Next.

On the screen that follows configure your Outgoing server settings by entering the SMTP server provided for your Bananatag account in the first step.

Select TLS under Security Type, and enter the Port. Under sign-in, enter your User Name (Bananatag user name) and Password (from your Bananatag SMTP settings), and then press Next.

On the final set up page, you may choose to give this account a name that lets you know that emails sent through it will be tracked.

Your android device is now set up with Bananatag, and your sent emails will be automatically tracked. You will receive an email notification when your emails are opened, as well as notifications when any links in your emails are clicked.

Open your Mail, Contacts, Calendars found in the default Settings app.

Select Add Account.

Select Other, as iOS requires this to be set up manually, and then Add Mail Account.

Enter your Name, Email and Password. Feel free to fill in any description that makes sense to you.

On the following screen, enter your incoming mail server details as usual.

Under Outgoing Mail Server Host Name, enter the Server Name provided for your Bananatag account in the first step (SMTP server), followed by your User Name (Bananatag user name) and Password (from your Bananatag SMTP settings), and then press Next.

Press Save.

If you had an account set up for the same email address in iOS already (without tracking), you can delete it from the main mail settings menu. This will prevent duplicate emails addresses from showing in the mail app, and ensure all emails are tracked.
